Wed, March 30

Another afternoon searching for jobs at the netcafe. Get an email from the Production Assistant job I applied for before I left Australia (the only job I've seen that I really wanted so far). Apparently I'm among 30 people to be shortlisted (um, yay) but they've delayed choosing anyone as they're undergoing some company restructuring or some such bollocks. I apply for a few others which I'm entirely unsuited for but hell, why not. Drop in an application to the video store and was told I'd hear between 10 days and a month based on if there are any positions available. (Well why is there an ad in your window then?!?)

Head home and play some GTA:SA (which was a big mistake as now I'm hooked on it again) until Shane gets home. Then we continue our evening tradition of laughing at the stupidest things for far too long (as only Joel can best understand).

Jamie Oliver is the country's hero here at the moment. I'm not sure if you're hearing about this in Australia. If not, basically he does a show called Jamie's School Dinners where he travels to schools endeavouring to make their meals healthier, which is actually way more interesting than it sounds. Now the Government, based on Jamie's whinging, has decided to increase funding for healthier school lunches. Nice to see celebs, even annoying ones, working towards the greater good.
