Sunday 17th April
With Shane's love of fish, today we decide to go to the Aquarium. I can't say it's the best I've ever been to but it's fun nonetheless. I get to touch a stringray and decide I like them immensely and also see the scariest creature I've ever seen in my life. It was a big fat lime green eel about 2 metres long, and thicker than both my legs together, with a head like a snake. My God! I couldn't believe it was real. I wouldn't go anywhere near the tank due to the horror of it all, but I took some photos if anyone ever wants to see it.
In the gift shop I find my sought after Pez dispenser and we muck around with the toys for a bit while I convince Shane to go on the London eye. For those who may not know, the London Eye is like a big ferris wheel that takes about 20 mins to go around once, so you can see the whole city. (It also takes about this long to buy a ticket for it). I took about 50 photos and decide to go on it again one night time when I have a better camera as it would just be insanely beautiful.
On the way home we pick up the Playstation version of the Atari games (never get it, it's terrible) and then eat pizza and watch a four hour show on the best 100 albums of all time as voted by Brits. They're an odd bunch. Radiohead's OK Computer won. But how is it possible that Oasis beat the Beatles, that bands like Pearl Jam, Metallica (god forbid but they do deserve a place), ACDC, the Ramones, a good deal of the Manchester Electronica scene and countless others were left out completely!
